The Coronet Type Design From The 1839

Designer:  Christian Gobrecht

(December 23, 1785 – July 23, 1844) Was The Third Chief Engraver. 

He Also Designed The Gobrecht Dollar.

Design Style: Coronet, With Motto 1866–1907 

Reverse Was Created by William Kneass

Metal Content Of Gold

The 1837 Standard For The Eagle was 258 troy grains (16.718 g)

of .900 fine gold

(with the alloy remainder for all U.S. coins after 1837,to .100 copper and no silver)

with other coins proportionately sized to meet 

The British Standard Of Content.



During a two-hour journey through historic Chinatown, you and other participants will search for clues in order to solve a “murder” loosely based on a real New York City crime.

This adventure will immerse you and your team of detectives in the allies, parks, and streets of today as you encounter and interact with live characters from New York City’s past. These characters share key pieces of information and clues to help crack your case.

As a new detective, you will be briefed on the murder — a horrible crime that has shocked the community! An outcry from the citizens demand justice be served quickly to restore order. Arrive at Police Headquarters via the secret entrance on time to be briefed before you begin roaming the streets in search of answers and the murder.


