Founded by Stephanie Booth and Jessica Parks in 2010, The Umbrella Co. is a New York City based dance co-operative. The company has recently performed at Amalgamate Artists Series, The Shore Institute of Contemporary Arts, PMT House of Dance Monthly Series and was a featured company in the Exquisite Corpse Festival in NYC. The company is looking forward to performances at Green Space, Movement Research/Open Performance, Dixon Place (NYC10) and University Settlement this spring.

The Umbrella Co. was founded in an effort to create choreography in a collaborative and nurturing atmosphere with an emphasis on process and the synthesis of the disparate idiosyncrasies of the individual. Each member of the company has the option to use the organization as a resource and to create work. The Umbrella Company focuses on and recognizes that each artist is an integral part of the whole.
